CIMC work challenges: Over the years CIMC has been the key policy and development dialogue mechanism working external of government and bring together all stakeholders to discuss and provide development and policy input to government for consideration. Taking these aspirations into account the CIMC since 1998 has been working to compliment the government plans and provide the platform for partnerships and working relationships by facilitating dialogue between Government, private sector and citizens for the past 24 years. However, the CIMC efforts have constantly been faced with funding struggles since 2019. This year CIMC almost closed doors when it was not able to access funds that were earmarked for it in the 2023 National Budget
